In the first session, you will get to know your therapist and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about psychotherapy. You can share your concerns and goals, and your therapist will provide you with an initial assessment. Based on this, a personalised therapy plan will be developed together with you – to offer you new perspectives and concrete strategies.

Through conversations and standardised questionnaires, your therapist will assess your symptoms and transparently explain your diagnosis. This will help you become an expert in your own challenges.
-
In weekly 50-minute sessions, you and your therapist will work together to address the root causes of your patterns and develop a better understanding of your thoughts and emotions. Treatment combines proven methods of behavioural therapy with mindfulness-based, emotion-focused approaches, as well as elements of schema therapy and dialectical-behavioural therapy.

What is behavioral therapy?
Behavioural therapy is a scientifically validated therapeutic approach that aims to identify and replace learned negative thought patterns and behaviours with positive alternatives. Together, you and your therapist will analyse challenging situations in your daily life and develop practical strategies for new behaviours. The origins of your patterns will also be explored to enable a deeper understanding.
Who covers the costs?
You can bill the sessions through your private health insurance. Please check with your insurance provider regarding coverage. Private insurers often cover the full cost, but some may only cover a limited number of sessions or a percentage of the cost. In such cases, a small self-payment may apply.Alternatively, you can choose to pay privately as a self-payer. This has the advantage that no applications or waiting times for approval are necessary – therapy can begin immediately.
What is the difference between coaching and psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is aimed at individuals with diagnosed mental health conditions and focuses on treating these illnesses. Coaching, on the other hand, is geared toward personal development and tackling specific challenges without a clinical diagnosis. Since coaching is not a medical treatment, its costs are generally not covered by health insurance. However, coaching expenses may be tax-deductible in certain cases.
